Ever feel like you need more content for your Real Estate blog or you have no new ideas for your website? Sometimes its hard to come up with new ideas so we have complied a quick list to help you produce fresh new blog content.
9 Ways to develop fresh content for your Real Estate blog
- Answer your email on your blog
This may be the easiest way to develop new content! When you receive an email with a question asking about anything, you can respond in a blog post. For example, if someone asks how the ‘market’ is in their area, you can reply with a link to your blog post which could include video, graphs, pictures and more.
- Keep a journal of things to write about.
Every time an ideas pops in your mind write it down! Using tools like Evernote can help with this as well for saving different notes for ‘blogging ideas‘. We use WordPress itself and save each idea as a draft in the post area until we have time to come back and write out a blog post.
- Review local businesses and restaurants.
Reviewing stores, restaurants, events and more is a great way to attract interest to your real estate website. Rank food, give your opinion or a recommendation and enjoy good food while you’re at it.
- Share what you know about the local real estate market.
Is the market going up? down? Is your niche area selling like hot cakes? Let the world know and become the expert in a particular area by posting new market data.
- Revisit your post archives.
After you have put a few blog posts out, you should revisit your archives and see which ones are the most popular posts. Then focus your attention on that area or subject.
- Check your analytics… What?
Each site has Google Analytics installed which basically tracks (stalks) your visitors and lets you know what they like, don’t like and which pages or posts that they hang out on the most. Use this info to revisit certain ideas posts and more. Google analytics also show you how they found your site and what keywords were used. Research these keywords to also brainstorm new topic ideas.
- Share your hobbies
This can be anything from book clubs, sports or hiking with dogs. Sharing your personal hobbies helps your users connect with you and see your true personality! Remember people work with people they like and if you connect with them on this level you will definitely win!
- Create a weekly feature.
Feature everything from one house a week to one feature; such as creative kitchen cabinets. A weekly feature is a great way to consistently blog and get you into the habit of sharing with your audience
- Attend local community events.
Then blog about them! Let your visitors know what your thoughts are and what came out of the meeting or event. Also share about upcoming events and things to do!
