Marketing Fun: We have all been there, crammed into an airline seat waiting to take off and hoping the guy next to us is not there to chat, the entire flight, about his ex. As the plane starts to backup the stewardess asks everyone to take out the safety card to review the safety information for your aircraft.
This is when you sneak in one last status update, tweet or email before turning off your phone.
Then the Skymall magazine comes out because you know how to put on your seat belt, zip up your pants and travel! You realize that you don’t need floatation device instruction as there is not a puddle big enough between New York City and Los Angles to land in safely.
Well the marketing engine at Virgin America has turned the american safety regulations and laws into a fun, vibrant music video that you will actually want to watch this time around! Wait.. Can ‘marketing fun’ really be in the same sentence? We have posted it below so you can get a head start and then still read Skymall on your next trip!
So now your saying to yourself, I love it, but how does this apply to me? Well we had the same thought which lead into several questions.
- What boring and mundane things could you change to be more fun and easier for your clients?
- What processes, that have to be completed, can you simplify? can they be fun?
- Could you jazz up your image or brand to reflect a fun, knowledgeable and attractive business?
Just food for thought, you don’t have to create a music video to liven up your image, your brand and your business. Boring marketing, flyers, videos, TPS reports, and more may be headed out the door, if companies continue to push fun, interactive and vibrant marketing messages like this one.
So what did you think? Skymall or Fun dancing music video full of fun regulations? Let us know in the comments below.
