Blogging – More traffic equals more leads. Is this true? Yes, in short. We posted 6 months ago about how we are ramping up our WordPress for Real estate blog and that we are committed to consistently posting awesome content for you. Well so far so good; in 6 months we have seen a 509% increase in unique visitors.
Below is our Google Analytics for this time period. You can see the beginning of the year which has no traffic worth mentioning and then the steady hill that grows when the blogging started. After about 2 months of posting a blog post every-other or once a week is when the momentum started to happen.
509% increase in unique visitors is a big percentage and it breaks down to 8,717 vs 1,430 visitors in the previous period. Side note: If you are not using Google Analytics you should start.
This means more leads and ultimately more customers! If we simplify the numbers more would you rather have an audience of 9 or 1? With 9 you will have a better shot of finding someone who needs you and with 1; well you have 1 chance.

I have yet to meet a real estate agent with only one website. Typically you have a brokerage provided one, maybe a site with your franchise (ie Remax Reliance) and possibly a website with some other vendor.
Adding a blog to your website portfolio can help you get found on the web, build traffic and get more leads. We work with agents that just blog and then send people who want to search for properties to their brokerage or franchise provided websites. One in particular gets more ideas via her blog than her brokerage has ever provided!
